Become a Wildlife Release Site

Become a Wildlife Release Site

Releasing rehabilitated wildlife back into the wild is the final step in their journey with Roanoke Wildlife Rescue. To give each animal the best chance for success, we need safe, suitable locations where they can return to their natural habitat.

Property owners can help by offering their land as a wildlife release site. Release locations are selected based on the needs of the individual animal and factors such as appropriate habitat, available food and water, and potential risks in the surrounding area.

What Makes a Good Wildlife Release Site?

Suitable release sites vary depending on the species, but we look for properties that provide appropriate natural habitat and give wildlife the resources they need to thrive. Not every property will be appropriate for every animal, and submitting the form does not guarantee that wildlife will be released on your property.
